Why do we lose Hair?

Although hair loss is not a life threatening condition but it can leads to stress and worry in the persons affected by hair loss. A person suffering from hair loss possesses lower self esteem and self confidence levels, and also feels embarrassed when in company of other people or in society.

Hair loss can result from a number of reasons. Among them, genetic problem and autoimmune disorders play a major role. Other important causes includes eczema of the scalp, nutritional deficiencies or faulty diet, thyroid problems, hormonal changes,fever, stress or tension.

Emotional stress is less likely to cause hair loss than physical stress,  medicines used for treating cancer.
Thinning, falling and loss of hair are very common problems in all age groups.
